I am grateful for creative friends that inspire the creativity in my I sometimes forget I have... Case in point, a friend from high school took the 7 days of The Creation and used each day to inspire an activity and chore around the house during Spring Break. I thought what a great way to get into the scriptures with my kids, (which I am not good at doing), but also to inspire ideas of how to keep us busy this summer. I am going to take it a bit further and spread each Day out over a few days or possible a week. Afterall, God didn't do it all in one day. :)
So we started this week with Day 1, Genesis 1:1-5. 1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
This one was a bit difficult, but we did a few things. We enjoyed Day 1 by spending the afternoon at the park.
And enjoyed the Night by sleeping in a tent. Cleaning was the light switches and checking bulbs.

Very creative, indeed! Reading the Bible and making applications to our own lives is as good as it gets. I'm anxious to hear how you apply the rest of the creation verses.
Love to all, Mom / Grammie
you are wonderful! i might just have to do this too, if that is ok to copy you!
Yes, please post about each day -- it will be fun to see what you do! And to think you can get the cleaning done while having "fun" too... I'm all for that.
Such a clever idea! The only scripture story my kids would probably want to simulate is the 2000 strippling warriors!
Steph these pictures and the bubble pictures are so adorable!! I miss you guys so much and love you to pieces!
Hi Steph! I left the life of facebook and returned to the land of blogging. I LOVE that idea! I might have to try it too:) Hope you're doing:)
